An ambitious self-starter, Jason Osser’s passion is to help individuals and business owners understand their financial standing and offer a full spectrum of accounting solutions. It is a practice built upon 15 years of experience and expertise.
Jason received his Master of Business Administration from the State University of New York at Binghamton—and he’s a teacher in his own right, serving as an adjunct professor at Strayer University.
After receiving his master’s degree, Jason served as an accountant for Hospice and Palliative Care of Metropolitan D.C. (now Capital Hospice) and was accounting supervisor for TheraCom Inc.
In 2001 he became controller for Fitness Resource Inc, the fourth largest specialty fitness equipment store in the country, where he reported to the president and treasurer on accounting, budget and finance. He managed the financials of 23 retail stores and sales departments, corrected three years of financial inaccuracies and reduced overhead costs by more than $200,000 through debt consolidation and department restructuring.
Three years later, Jason became president and owner of an EmbroidMe franchise and turned it into a leader in the full-service, embroidery and promotional products industry. Through aggressive advertising, marketing and networking, it became the most profitable franchise and was No. 2 in sales volume in the Washington, D.C.-Baltimore area. As a result of providing exceptional customer service, fair prices and the latest in technology, Jason received Business of the Year and Outstanding Product awards from the Springfield, (Va.,) Chamber of Commerce.
Capitalizing on his entrepreneurial skills, he founded Accounting & Business Consulting in 2009 to work closely with small businesses and individuals to improve their financial situations. To even better serve clients, he became a Certified Public Accountant and established Jason S. Osser, CPA.
Whether attending a class, seminar or networking event, Jason understands that achieving financial goals is essential. He has made a career out of educating individuals, business owners and college students, which helps him to stay current on accounting issues. He truly believes that education, built on strong relationships, is the foundation for saving money and ensuring clients completely understand the latest rules and regulations that affect personal and business finances, which can ultimately lead to their success.
